Barack Obama provided a glowing endorsement of a book by domestic terrorist William Ayers in the Dec. 21, 1997 Chicago Tribune.

Barack Obama, who has consistently downplayed his relationship with William Ayers during his presidential campaign, once gave a glowing endorsement of a book by the former domestic terrorist and was mentioned by name in the book itself.

A blogger unearthed the Dec. 21, 1997, endorsement in the Chicago Tribune and posted photographs of the praise for Ayers' book on Zombietime.com Saturday.

Featured next to a smiling photograph of himself, then-State Senator Obama called Ayers' book, "A Kind and Just Parent: Children of the Juvenile Court," a "searing and timely account of the juvenile court system, and the courageous individuals who rescue hope from despair."

The book, which details life at the Chicago Juvenile Court prison school, mentions Obama by name on page 82 when it describes Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood:

"Our neighbors include Muhammad Ali, former mayor Eugene Sawyer, poets Gwendolyn Brooks and Elizabeth Alexander, and writer Barack Obama. Minister Louis Farrakhan lives a block from our home and adds, we think, a unique dimension to the idea of 'safe neighborhood watch': the Fruit of Islam, his security force, has an eye on things twenty-four-hours a day."

The Obama campaign said the blurb was not a full-fledged review of the book.

"He didn't do a review. He provided one line about the book to the Tribune," campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told FOXNews.com.

A month before the item appeared, on Nov. 20, 1997, Michelle Obama, then dean of student services and director of the University Community Service Center, held a panel at the University of Chicago that featured both Barack Obama and Ayers.

"Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, who is working to combat legislation that would put more juvenile offenders into the adult system," the University of Chicago Chronicle reported on Nov. 6, 1997.

Obama has been criticized for refusing to elaborate on the extent of his relationship with Ayers and for claiming to have had no idea Ayers was a co-founder of the Wesather Underground, which claimed responsibility for bombing the Pentagon, U.S. Capitol and a New York Supreme Court justice's home in the Sixties.

The Obama campaign has noted that Obama was 8 years old when Ayers and the Weather Underground were active and has no link to their activities. Ayers has said he has "no regrets" about his participation in the domestic terror group.

Let the economy recover or turn to SOCIALISM? WHAT??

I am currently suffering by the flawed health care system... I tried to also get help from disability and don't qualify, I'm unemployed, and under insured as well as in very deep debt since my unexpected illness struck me in a time where I was struggling financially.

I am not rich, never had a privileged life, and have lived through times where my family had no money to buy food, including recently though I won't elaborate much on my private life.

I don't believe our country is was built to carry the burden of those struggling in the middle class, I don't believe our government will rescue us who are struggling both health-wise and financially. I don't believe that a system of government funded programs would work since our country is currently broke and cannot afford it. I don't see the logic in using tax dollars to help individuals directly... we cannot afford it and in trying to help those in the middle class we are allowing our future generations to have a government that has no money. I am in debt, I spent money in credit cards and loans and I will pay for the consequences of my actions for the rest of my life, unless of course, I become a millionaire and even with that, I will never have suffice.
Hasn't our country learned what our biggest mistake has been? We are fixing one mistake with another just like Suzy Orman says people try to do when paying one credit card with another credit card or loan or mortgage. It's more debt on top of more debt and when does the cycle end?
When do we realize we are flawed in our thinking when we believe the answer is easy money?!

So where would the money come from if the top 5% of Americans who pay income tax are taxed more to simply give a tax cut to the rest, who about 40% of those don't even pay income taxes? It makes no sense... I mean it sounds tempting, especially to me, since I am broke, in default in over 5 credit cards, I have a lot of student loan debt and not to mention medical bills piling up every day unpaid???!

It's easy for me to jump on the bandwagon since I would love another government rebate or handout, I would love free health care, but I don't want my country to be broke!!!!! I think it would be selfish of me to put myself and my problems before my country and our future generations!

Questions to Mr. Obama:

1. How would you create more jobs and stop corporate companies from going over seas if you are going higher to taxes to those who produce our jobs??

2. How are you encouraging and motivating people to want to succeed and make more money if they know that when they hit over $200K in net earnings they will be penalized?

3. How are you helping people to not depend on government and want to go out and help other by investing and donating to charities?

4. Where does personal responsibility jump in?

5. So we don't need the private sector anymore?
- non profit organization, faith-based organizations, etc that work to help people in financial need or give aid and medical help to those who can't afford it???

6. If people are so fed up with Washington and their spending, why do you want to increase government when they have proven to show poor judgement over and over against especially during the last 2 years (wonder who's been in charge of congress?) and why do want to spend more money when we can't even afford the war we are in?

7. What are you going to do when you won't be able to remove all troops from Iraq as planned and still have to continue spending there, or if God forbid, we have an international crisis (as Biden said will happen) and we need to spend a lot of government money we have invested on helping the middle class?

8. What will you do teach future generations about earning and working towards success if you are promoting the entitlement mentality that tells people they deserve to be successful even if they don't work for it?

9. How are you going to reduce poverty and cut the middle class crunch if people will always be taken care of as long as they make under $250K?

10. How will we be any different than any other nation in this world as the most powerful nation and fueled by capitalism that has driven our economy when we no longer trust the free market but the government for our success?

11. Why where you reading the book "The Post-American World" by Fareed Zakaria who believes :"Zakaria describes with equal prescience a world in which the United States will no longer dominate the global economy, orchestrate geopolitics, or overwhelm cultures. He sees the "rise of the rest"—the growth of countries like China, India, Brazil, Russia, and many others—as the great story of our time, and one that will reshape the world." (http://www.amazon.com/Post-American-World-Fareed-Zakaria/dp/039306235X)

12. Why Mr. Obama do you take people's money to finance your campaign, when you don't need it since you're winning in the polls?

Your contradictions on helping the middle class cannot be more evident as you have raised over 150 MIL $$ in Sept alone and then brag about it when you are talking about people losing their jobs, and houses, not having enough money to buy food or pump gas. You have enough money to give to charities who receive a fraction of what you have received in donations... they actually help the less fortunate and all you care about is getting elected?!!!!
Give me a break, you are one of the most elite politicians I have ever seen with almost spending half a billion dollars so far during your bid to become president, then you talk about the poor who are giving money they supposedly don't have to support you, when you don't even need it since you're ahead on the polls!!!

How can anyone not see through your BS Mr. Obama, but I assure you, you will be surprised how swiftly and quick your fall will be. No one can buy the American people's vote! no matter how much nonsense you promise us, or how many ads you throw at our faces, or how much you put down your opponents and critics when they question your judgement, or how many republican endorsements you receive... you will not get away with this.

Will there be Socialism in the 21st century here in the US?

“ Those who want to go directly to hell, they can follow capitalism. And those of us who want to build heaven here on earth, we will follow socialism. ”

— Hugo Chávez

So people are suffering financially they blame President Bush and because of this think that we must elect a candidate that is pro-socialism??!! Think about it, in 3 weeks the majority if Americans could elect a candidate that want to change our country for a capitalist nation into a socialist nation. Don't believe it? then let's look at what a SOCIALISM as an economic system is, and compare that with Barack Obama's economic plan. THIS IS SCARY!

From:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

"Economically, socialism denotes an economic system of public ownership and / or worker ownership of the means of production and distribution. In the U.S.S.R., state ownership of the means of production was combined with central planning – what goods and services to make and provide, how they were to be produced, the quantities, and the sale prices (cf. Economy of the Soviet Union). Soviet economic planning was an alternative to allowing the market (supply and demand) to determine prices and production. During the Great Depression, socialists considered Soviet-style planned economies the remedy to Capitalism's inherent flaws – monopoly, business cycles, unemployment, unequally distributed wealth, and the economic exploitation of workers."
